Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorder
Life transitions and stressful events—both big and small—can deeply impact our emotional well-being. Trauma- and stressor-related disorders arise in response to experiences that feel overwhelming, threatening, or destabilizing. At Wellness Psychology, Dr. Elisheva Assouline provides a safe and supportive space to process these experiences and build resilience. Whether you're navigating a major life change or the lasting effects of trauma, support is available.
Adjustment Disorder
Adjustment Disorder is a mental health condition that occurs when someone has difficulty coping with or adjusting to a major life change or stressful event. It’s a short-term condition but can feel overwhelming, often leading to emotional or behavioral symptoms. Moving to a new country or city, going through a breakup, experiencing a health challenge, academic stress, or global events can make it difficult to cope.

Emerging Adulthood Struggles
Emerging adulthood (18+) for many can feel very overwhelming as this new stage often involves many big changes. Many emerging adults feel pressure to "figure everything out"—career, relationships, independence—while also navigating mental health challenges, self-doubt, and societal expectations. Whether it is entering a new relationship, starting college and dealing with academic pressure, or navigating family conflict, this stage can feel difficult to tackle alone.
