FAQs

  • What types of issues do you specialize in treating?
I specialize in anxiety disorders, maternal mental health—including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders—and the unique challenges faced during emerging adulthood.
  • What can I expect in my first therapy session?
Our first session will be an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and explore what brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll begin to develop a plan tailored to your needs and preferences.
  • How long does therapy typically last?
The length of therapy varies depending on individual goals and needs. Some clients find significant benefit in just a few sessions, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll discuss this together as we move forward.
  • What therapy approaches do you use?
I use an integrative approach combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Positive Psychology. This allows me to tailor strategies specifically to your strengths and challenges.
  • Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes! I provide telehealth sessions across multiple states through my PSYPACT certification, making therapy accessible no matter where you are (see full list of eligible states).
  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want support in navigating life’s challenges, therapy can be a valuable resource. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to seek help.
  • How confidential is therapy?
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Your privacy is protected by law, and what we discuss stays between us—with a few legal exceptions that I will explain.
  • What if I’m nervous or unsure about therapy?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous about starting therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
You can contact me directly through the website or by phone to schedule a session. I’m happy to answer any preliminary questions before you begin.
  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid cancellation fees and to allow others to use that time.
